STEAM Education for Rural Education and Empowerment
CherYsh is committed to expanding access to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engilish, Arts, and Math) education in rural communities through after-school programs conducted on government school premises. By integrating modern tools, hands-on activities, and engaging digital content, the program equips students with essential future-ready skills. This approach nurtures curiosity strengthens problem-solving abilities, and empowers rural children to participate confidently in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Learning Education Centres “Shikshas”
CherYsh Shiksha provides children in rural India with holistic development opportunities through village-based After-School Learning Centres. These community learning spaces offer a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Designed to meet diverse learning needs, our Shiksha programs serve three key demographic groups, ensuring that every child—regardless of age or background—has access to quality education, enrichment activities, and the confidence to pursue brighter futures.
Junior Shikshas (Ages 3–7):
Designed for early learners, Junior Shikshas build foundational skills through joyful, play-based learning. These sessions nurture curiosity, creativity, and emotional confidence, giving young children the supportive start they need to thrive in school and beyond.
English Shikshas (Ages 7–14):
Support school-age children through structured learning in English, Science, and Math. These sessions build academic confidence, deepen conceptual understanding, and equip students with the skills they need to excel in school and get ready for future opportunities.
STEM Labs – Gram Labs (Ages 12–18):
Gram Labs prepare adolescents for the future by equipping them with essential digital and vocational skills. Through hands-on learning in technology, robotics, and applied sciences, these labs help young learners build problem-solving abilities, technical confidence, and career-ready competencies in a rapidly evolving digital world.
Livelihood Empowerment
At the heart of CherYsh’s Shiksha initiative is the empowerment of local women, who are trained to become Learning Facilitators and Technology Educators within their own communities. Through structured training, young women gain the skills to serve as facilitators, technology educators and mentors, strengthening the village learning ecosystem. Alongside educator development, CherYsh also provides entrepreneurial guidance for women seeking to build home-based businesses, enabling them to achieve financial independence and contribute to their families’ well-being. This dual approach—education and enterprise—creates a powerful pathway for women to lead, uplift their communities, and shape sustainable futures.
