CherYsh Empower

Empowering Women. Strengthening Families. Transforming Communities

At CherYsh, we believe that sustainable development begins with empowering women to become catalysts for change. For over 15 years, we have partnered with rural communities to unlock the potential of women through education, leadership, entrepreneurship, and livelihood development—creating opportunities that extend far beyond individual success.

Through our CherYsh Certified Educator Programme (CCEP) and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), women gain access to structured training, professional certification, leadership development, financial and digital literacy, enterprise support, and continuous mentoring. Whether they become educators shaping young minds or entrepreneurs building sustainable livelihoods, they are equipped to create lasting social and economic impact within their communities.

Our community-led approach not only strengthens women’s confidence and economic independence but also improves educational outcomes, supports children’s aspirations, and fosters resilient communities where local leaders drive lasting change.

When women thrive, children learn, families prosper, and communities flourish

CherYsh Certified Educator Programme

Educator Programme

The CherYsh Shiksha Kendra (CSK) serves as the professional learning and educator development arm of CherYsh. Built on over 15 years of implementation, the CherYsh Certified Educator Programme (CCEP) prepares rural women to become confident facilitators, teachers, mentors, and community leaders who deliver high-quality, child-centred education within their own communities.

The programme follows a structured professional learning pathway that combines competency-based training, classroom practice, continuous mentoring, coaching, and certification. Educators develop the knowledge, pedagogical skills, leadership capabilities, and professional competencies needed to create engaging, inclusive, and confidence-building learning environments.

A Structured Professional Pathway

From foundation to specialist certification

Level 1 – Common Foundation

Every educator begins with a common foundation that focuses on developing the mindset, values, and essential teaching competencies required to become a CherYsh Educator. The training includes:

Understanding the CherYsh philosophy and educator mindset

Communication and facilitation skills

Understanding rural learners and classroom challenges

Creating safe, inclusive, and engaging classrooms

Child-centred and activity-based pedagogy

Professional ethics, safeguarding, and classroom readiness

Level 2 – Specialist Certification

Following the common foundation, educators specialise in programme-specific certification pathways based on their area of teaching:

English Shiksha Educator

STEM Educator

ESM Educator (English, Science & Mathematics)

AI Educator

Each pathway provides advanced subject knowledge, programme-specific pedagogy, competency standards, lesson planning, classroom facilitation, assessment practices, and practical teaching experiences aligned with CherYsh’s learning methodologies.

Continuous Professional Development

Learning does not end with certification. Every CherYsh educator participates in an ongoing cycle of professional development through monthly training workshops, classroom observations, academic coaching, peer learning communities, refresher certifications, and leadership development.

Educator growth is continuously supported through CherYsh’s competency-based Assessment Framework, enabling personalised mentoring, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement in teaching quality.

Through the CherYsh Certified Educator Programme, CherYsh is building a network of skilled rural educators who inspire confident learners, strengthen local schools, and create sustainable educational change across rural communities.
