NGO Partner: KDDC (Karwar Diocesan Development Council)

The Karwar Diocesan Development Council was set up on the 2nd of February 1978 to oversee the socio-economic development of the people of Uttar Kannada District in Karnataka, irrespective of their caste, creed or community. KDDC is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960.

KDDC has taken up the following social issues aimed at Integrated Rural Development:

  • Health and hygiene
  • Income generation activities
  • Skills development
  • Agriculture development
  • Career advancement
  • Employment promotion amongst the women and the youth of the community


NGO Partner: Society for Youth Development (Sanjeevan)

Led by the dynamic Dr. Asha Sawardekar, Society for Youth Development (SYD) is one of the most prominent NGOs in Goa, India. The organization was initially set up with the goal of helping underprivileged youth but since then, they have diversified into various fields of social welfare. Today, SYD has a retirement home for senior citizens, a nursing center for the elderly that doubles up as training center for nurses, a shelter for distressed women, a technical training school for women and a program to fight child malnutrition.


NGO Partner: Samanvaya

Samanvaya, a public charitable trust, was registered on 15th December 1998 to promote justice, peace and harmony in society that will lead to social transformation through education, co-ordination, and integration.

Since its inception, Samanvaya has been at the forefront of social action aimed at empowering the marginalized groups through its activities. In a total of 971 program run (until March 31, 2012) to address different issues, 78,005 people have participated out of which 44,426 were women. In the year 2007,Samanvaya started the job skill-training program for women. As a part of this program, Samanvaya has successfully conducted 12 free tailoring-cum-embroidery courses in different villages. As a result of this, 219 women have started working and are now financially secure.

HOPE Foundation is an affiliate of HOPE Worldwide in India, partnering with reputed corporates and other partners. HOPE recognized that there are many talented young people who aspire for better jobs, but lack the resources to acquire employable skills. HOPE Foundation is committed to bridge this gap in partnership with current and new partners, to establish and sustain educational centers around India that will empower young people and give them opportunities to be part of the emerging Indian economy.
